Last Friday the multiannual photography project The Rise of Populism was launched with an outdoor exhibition on the Stadhuisplein (Town Hall square) in Utrecht. This exhibition can be seen until 14 October.

Together with a group of European photographers, We are documenting these political populist shifts in West-Europe since the beginning of 2012. Each photographer creates a story from a personal perspective where the local aspects of populism in their own country emerge. These collected stories will pose and raise questions on the state of the contemporary European political and social situation and will be brought together next year in a big exhibition.

The Rise of Populism is a project under the umbrella of Fotodok in collaboration with Vrede van Utrecht’s program Arts in Conflict.

auction in Jubbega

Please feel free to come to our photo exhibition and auction in the church of Schurega near Jubbega on Friday September 7 at 08:00 PM. In cooperation with designer Guido Marsille we made an exhibition for the Noorderlicht Photo Festival on our activities in our Atelier at the Middendijk in Usquert. The benefit of the auction will be used to create new initiatives in our atelier.
